New Zealand Studies Network is looking for an experienced Membership Manager to help develop their network and contribute to the future strategy of the organisation.
As a volunteer member of the NZSN Committee, the Membership Manager will work alongside a number of subject specialists and within a support team that manages events designed to promote New Zealand culture in the UK and Ireland especially through the presentation of research and performance, in the fields of the sciences, and the liberal, performing, and fine arts.
The Manager will:
work with the NZSN Committee to increase quality and frequency of members’ communications and compile profiles of our membership audience
further develop relationships with New Zealand institutions and organisations
administer and improve the processes of recruiting, retaining and serving members and supporters
seek to enhance the reputation of the NZSN within international networks
recommend and drive new strategies to grow membership
The candidate should demonstrate a good understanding or interest in New Zealand culture, have experience developing networks and enjoy working with a range of individuals across a number of industry sectors.
Although it is not essential, ideally the new Manager will be able to hit the ground running. They will have ideas to make quick and effective changes and want to focus on long term strategy, while getting to know our members and creating new relationships. Communications skills and an established network would be an advantage, as would fundraising experience.
